WHERE DOES A YEAR GO?
They say that time goes faster as you age and I definitely subscribe to that theory. Twelve months ago I was counting down the days to going to my happy place with two of my favorite guys. That's sounding kind of kinky until you realize that I was referring to going to Disney World with Nate and Cole. Now a year later I find myself on the same countdown to trying to recreate one of the 'funnest' weeks I ever had. Those two boys kept us laughing all week and I can only hope that a year later they will continue the tradition!
Lots has transpired in the last year but the things that stand out are the times we've spent with family. I only wish there were more days in the week! Then time might not disappear so quickly. It is the memories created during those times that stay in my heart and mind. Having just celebrated another Christmas I can honestly say that the memories are the most treasured gifts. Making ornaments with the boys, the gifts that they made and wrapped and were so proud to give. Those are the moments I savour.
I think we all have favorite memories of a time spent with a special grandparent, parent or aunt or uncle.
What's yours?

Deb,
Here I thought I was going to go on the blog and drop a note, but this takes some thought! I'll have to think about this one. There are just way too many! Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow....

Maybe we should just throw out one liners....there are too many. I remember Me-Me's elbows with tomatoes and bacon on top. Elbow pasta...not her elbows :)
I still make that when I am going to have dinner alone! Michael hates chunky tomatoes, and I love that dish. It is so easy. I don't even cook the elbows first.

You're kidding..about not cooking the elbows. I have got to try that! That's funny, I was mentioning that dish to Mom the other day and she made it and then said that after she scraped all the 'chunks' of tomatoes off of Ken's plate that she remembered why she switched to Noodleberg casserole.
FYI- Mom's computer is dead and they bought a new one, being installed on Wednesday. That is why she hasn't posted.
I thought maybe that Ken was the only one in the family that didn't like chunky tomatoes.
He doesn't even like chunky tomato pasta sauce.
I will have to try not cooking the elbows. And I don't like whole grain or half whole grain elbows either.
just plain old Muellers(if I can find them)
Maybe we can make them the weekend I come up. I don't know what Kenny can eat. And yes to plain old elbows. Don is always looking for shells or twists but they just are not right. Kind of like red pistachios over white.
Yes, they must be regular elbows. Not even the ridged elbows are the same. I cannot believe that you said Noodleberg casserole, Mom. Do you know that Michael and I have been trying to think of the name of that damn recipe for DAYS. Michael throws me off because he calls it "Noodles Jackin'Off!" I even looked in my recipe book, but couldn't find it. Thanks Mom.
Michael hates chunky tomatoes so much that we have to blend the sauce in the blender. There used to be a "smooth style" jarred sauce that was great, but I haven't seen it in a while. Even Newman's Marinara is too chunky for him! Might as well just make it from scratch (with tomato puree) with all the blender clean up. But, now that Michael has "stolen" my cooking duties, he can clean the blender!
I forgot how fun the blog is.
Go Jets!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Mom and Ken, tell us about your new computer!
