While I admire your enthusiasm, I would contain myself. The Red Sox will be throwing Schilling, Beckett and Dice-K...probably the best 1-2-3 combo in baseball. The Yankees will win a lot of games this year, however, they will do so by beating up on mediocre pitching...ala...devil rays, indians etc. It will be the old baseball question of "does good pitching beat good hitting?" Having said that, I do think that the Sox are vunerable between their starters and closer. Look for the yankees to cause havoc in the 7th and 8th innings. But, they must win tonight if they are to avoid being swept. Petitte is their only hope. Therefore, he has to win tonight. Karstens and Wright don't exactly strike fear in the hearts of sox hitters. In addition, these kids could have trouble with the pressure of the Fenway faithful. Anyway, it should be a fun series to watch. If the sox pitch to A-rod they are nutz...this guy is raking. I would, however, hit the ball to Jeter(read 6 errors). Just kidding. Good luck to you yankee fans and Let's Go METS!!!!
I enjoy the response of a National League fan. But I think I do need to point out a few reminders: ... such as Boston plays the same "mediocre" teams and as good as Boston is playing right now, the season is 162 games of which 18 is played vs. Yankees, and yes right now 3 of our starting rotation is on the DL. So, yes, I will have to agree that this weekend's series is difficult, we have may series left in the year.
And in an attempt to contain myself, I just have to think of the 1-15 Kotite year and a long 37 years since winning Super Bowl III (and by the way, I believe, the ONLY guaranteed win in Super bowl history).

Said like a true gentleman...that's my son-in-law.
Thanks, I have always believed in sportsmanship. Nobody likes a sore loser. As a Mets fan, I've had a lot of practice with losing graciously.
