ok...IS EVERYBODY READY? Chex nite and Idol Gives Back /Elimination Nite all rolled into one. Do I need to get a life? I started watching these kind of shows a couple years ago when Survivor was hot and I was working at MBNA with a bunch of 'kids'. I knew I was too old to be working there because the only cereals they had at the Breakfast Bar in the cafeteria were Captain Crunch, Cocoa Puffs and Trix. No Kashi or Musellix to be found! I needed to have some- thing to talk about with those youngstas. Now I'm hooked. I gave up Survivor when they started eating weird animal parts and slugs and maggots. Sushi is as 'weird' as I go. But I love Idol and my Tivo is worth it if that was the only show I could record. I have it recording on two separate channels in case of technical difficulties.
Jordin ROCKED last night. Her rendition of "You'll Never Walk Alone" gave me goosebumps and make me cry. I believe Jordin will be giving Melinda a run for her money. Question of the day...who adds pretzels and or nuts to their Chex? Anything else? We know what the Original is but this family never had a recipe they didn't think they could improve on. Are Chex the exception?

We don't add any nuts, legumes or pretzels. 'Course, I'll choose vanilla ice cream amongst a pantheon of flavors. Michael thinks peanuts and pretzels sound good; looks like I'll be picking around in the Chex bowl tonight.
Both of us still think Melinda is the best, but Jordin did sing beautifully last night. Something about Melinda is "deeper" somehow. Who thinks she looks like Gladys Knight?
Quite frankly, Blake sucked. I've never liked him and I can't stand how he moves his lips and forms them into that little "O" shape when he sings. (Though I bet Ryan Seacreast likes it :) He gives me the creeps. How did he ever think he could pull off "Imagine"?
Did anyone see Sanjaya and Donny Osmond on Leno? It was pretty funny.
So are we Chex-Hex 'ing anyone in particular tonite? You can "imagine" who we want to go.

You know, I have been a Blake fan, but he is starting to annoy me. He is a bit contrived. He seems to have to try really hard to sing well, while for Melinda it just looks easy. But I think Chris or Phil will go. I feel asleep during Jordin, so I really can't say.
Nuts and pretzals - yes! And I will not be adding the wheat ones this time as the 2 cups I added were at the bottom of the bowl.
Peg - I meant to ask who the Meatpuppets were.
Jess and I can't stand Bullet Head Phil. I think he looks like Nosfertatu (David should get that reference). I like Blake, but can't stand the way he holds the mike.... or the ryan :)
We don't watch Idol, so I can'tt make any comment. But watching the Yankees play is like "An Idol Elimination" 5 in a row. They'll soon be eliminated from MLB. Oh yeah, Don't give up.But it is painful to watch.
So we,ll be eatting Chex without the pretzels and nuts which started when I didn't have any in the house. Thus the Wilbur Chex was created.
So IS EVERYBODY READY? I'm going to make mine now and maybe Ken will stop his whining.

Yeah, goodbye Phil or Chris as far as I'm concerned. I'm melting the butter right now. I don't use margarine. I read what is in margarine one time. Clog my arteries with good ole butter is I'm going to bother. Forgive me Jess! But I didn't do any chocolate on Easter.
Gotta have the good ole' flavor of margarine. It's not quite the same with butter.How often do you eat Chex anyway?
Ut, oh...we use butter. You know, um,...cuz of the trans-fatty acids...yeah, that's it ;)

Gram - I didn't even think they sold margarine anymore. That is one of those things that they developed in a chemical lab in the seventies and convinced us it was better for us than butter.
But hey, you use it and are healthier than any of us, right!

At least I use the One and Only Leading Stick with 0g Trans Fat.And it says Promise helps maintain a healthy heart when eaten instead of butter. I only use it for Chex. Give me a break, will ya'.
Ken wants to know if there is a time that we start ending the Chex. Like the Xmas candle lighting at 3 o'clock. Let us know ASAP so we are all in sync.
I vote for 9pm. I am still full from Chinese food. I am going to be a bloated mess tomorrow eating all this salt!

OK...I've googled and asked at work and I am now starting the East Coast chapter of GA (Geekaholics Anonymous). In my defense...not my kind of movies and I haven't seen SNL in years. I'm not staying home on Saturday nites these days!!!Oh well, I'm slithering off to my GA meeting. SOMEONE, ANYONE else tell me that they didn't know who Jack Black was.
