Since no one posted last week, can I assume that we all thought that was just wrong??? Oh well, James is going places, but I wish he had made it to the finale. It's hard to understand what went wrong except that the 9/11 song put Scotty in it instead of James. That coupled with the tweens and I guess James ended up on the short stick.
I can't believe it, but I actually liked Haley the best tonight. Lauren was OK, but played it awfully safe, and Scotty was good, but he didn't knock it out of the park like Haley did on the Zep song. It didn't even matter that she fell in front of millions of people. That was a great rendition of a very favorite song. The Alanis song was a little low for her in parts, but she still belted it out. I think she won the night. I wonder if Scotty and Lauren are going to split the country vote and Haley is going to pick up the rocker vote that James had. Could be interesting!
Mom and Deb...I can't believe you went to Disney and back and I didn't even know until I just read it here a few minutes ago! Now that's what I call a great escape!
Well, the vote is in and the finale has been decided. Now we just wait. Are we going to luck out this year and have no "Idol Gives Back" night? I can only dream :)

I was distraught over James!!!Well actually not prostrate with grief but a bit pissed. I actually liked a rocker and he gets kicked off at the final four level. At least my last two picks made it to the finals. I hate to admit that I thought Haley took the night over all. It was the Stevie Nicks song that took me. At this point I don't know who should win. Scotty has been consistant. And he has the appeal of the tween girl
demographic. At this point I am just watching to see who wins. I have stopped voting. Kenny said that last night all three of Scotty's lines were busy, busy, busy!
Peg, thought you had read about the great Disney escape last week. Mom and I could not figure out where to see Idol last week without going back to the hotel room early (OMG!)so we watched some of it on my iPhone until we got home on the weekend.
I made some chex over the weekend but we ate them all so I don't have any for tonight. I don't DARE make more!!!
Mom said you were feeling a bit better with some new prescriptions etc. Dare we hope for a visit this summer?

I have to make this a quickie as I am going out .Just got home from swimming.
I don't believe that Lauren played the "mother card" and she played it to the hilt.Even going down and hugging and crying.The song that was written for her enabled her to blow Scotty away.
I'm pissed.
I threw the phone at Ken and said,Get your fingers working."
And he did until he asked if he could stop and have a cup of Coffee.
Then I started to work my fingers.
I hope the teen age girls worked their fingers too.

You got it Peg...I kept quiet about my pick for most of the season so as not to jinx James. And as soon as we said Lauren...she gets the boot too :).
I think Scotty probably meant that he and Lauren would be Country Music's up and coming. A new generation for the old Oprey!I definitly think that Kenny's dexterious digits took the voting over the top!!
Now that Idol is over, Dancing With the Stars and Oprah I will be in TV withdrawal! Maybe I will have time to walk at night instead of 6:00 in the morning!
