Idol
MeMe Deb wanted a new post. So here goes! 2 girls go home.I got a little nervous when Paul was in the bottom 3. But I don't think he will last much longer. No one likes Pia ?I do. I think the shows are good this year. Some new ways of presenting the performers. Who will it be next week? See you then. so 2

Woo Hoo! I didn't mind that either Naima or Thea went home. I like Naima as a person, but didn't really like her performances. You can have Stefano too. I don't know Mom...Pia is just boring. Michael calls her Celine Dion, but you like her, right? My three are looking good right now, but I'm not sure Jacob or Casey can actually win. I think James can definitely win. He is really fun to watch...loved the band thing. I thought the three girls singing together were just terrible!!! Did you see that Casey and Haley are "getting together at Idol camp?" Watch, they are always next to each other. This is not just me that sees it! It was reported on E! News...very reputable (ha-ha). Hope Haley or Stefano go next week. They are doing songs from the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame and the absolutely legendary Jeff Beck is playing with them!

The only one I really see going all the way is James. But I like all the rest(there are no Sanjayas here this year)I saw a blurb about dating in the Idol Camp but did not see who they were referring to. Casey and Haley...not who I would have thought. Would have thought Haley would go for a 'bad boy' and Casey DOES NOT fit that bill.
I liked the band thing and Scotty and Lauren Elaina. The rest, not as much.
Did you see the roof leaking in that mansion?
I did see that Casey and Haley were getting together at Idol camp.
Did they get the leak fixed?

Wow! Last night was really good. I found myself enjoying people that I normally don't (Haley/ and even Lauren a little). PAUL was amazing! And loved Casey too. PIA was once again boring to me.
STEFANO needs to go. He is just getting the teeny bopper vote.
Thank god it was a no stress elimination tonight. I was not upset to see Pia go.
I just wrote two long posts and they both disappeared. This is a test.

I was actually cheering when Ryan said it was Pia tonight. I really thought she deserved to go after that crappy performance she gave last night. She just has absolutely no stage presence, and she walks around like she has a broom stick up her bum! Sorry Mom. Who are you with now? Paul? He was actually fun last night. Of course, James and Casey once again were my favorites. Usually Jacob is up there too, but I couldn't get into the Michael Jackson tune. Michael actually likes Scotty! He cracks him up, and he is really so young! Usually Jacob is his other favorite, but not last night. Jacob has to be very careful with his song choices. That one was NOT in his lane, and he could have chosen so many great "gospel" songs from the Hall of Fame collection. I was actually quite disappointed by the judges reactions. They just can't play favorites like that. It really made the others feel badly, especially Jacob and Stefano. They better toughen up, because it will only get harder from here. I am so glad that they saved Casey and didn't keep it to save Pia tonight. I think that they would have if they hadn't used it yet. Casey deserves it more, I think. OK, I am going to post and hope this shows up! Go James!!!!

And how do you think the others felt with the judges carrying on like they did.I agree with you , Peg. They need to toughen up .
I like Scotty, but he is young.And I still like Paul,but he is not a winner.

What are they singing next week?
Pia had musical talent but that's not all it takes. We are such a visual society. It's why no ugly fat person will win. I'm sticking with James. He's been consistently exciting.I really am bored with Haley. She directed "a Piece of My Heart" to the whole arena. She totally ignored the advice she got. But she did find her Joplin growl.
Mom - I agree with the Haley comment. Why was she smiling through that song? It is supposed to be angry. It may have sounded good, but she didn't get it. I still ff through all of Stefano's stuff. I really think he should go next.
Honestly, I am not that into James. He is ok, but over the top for me.
Paul and Casey are my favorites, but I think Scotty may have the best chance at actually having a good main stream career. I liked him this week too.
BTW - maybe it is a good idea for you guys to copy your whole post before you go to post it just in case......
I agree about Scotty...somehow Country Music is a better genre to try to break into. And he is very likable. And I really like Casey, too. I just think James will win. Which probably means he won't. As long as it is not Haley or Stephano at this point.
Well..I'll miss Paul. He was unique and alot of fun. Potentially, not a winner (because he was one of my faves) but right up there all the same. What a smile! Lauren and Scotty could break into the country scene right now with those duets.
Is it me or did Kelly Clarkson look a bit dowdy?
I was never really a fan. Maybe because I didn't watch Idol until the third season.
I am sad to see Paul leave.
I've liked him from the beginning.

I just was not impressed tonight. My expectations have gotten so high that unless they WOW the crowd, I'm disappointed. It was James again for me.And Lauren.

Sorry...I was out of commission for a bit. But, we have been keeping up on Idol. I don't miss Pia one bit!
I think James is the front runner for me. I still love Casey, and I think that intellectually he is head and shoulders above the rest. I absolutely loved Nature Boy and Moanin' (with Haley), but James is really fun to watch. I just don't know if Casey can be an Idol.
Tell me that the number done by the contestants that have been voted off wasn't lame??? Pia still couldn't move if they paid her. And why still have Karen and the diva? They aren't even going on tour!
I agree with Deb that last night wasn't my favorite, but I still liked James and Casey. My other fave, Jacob, didn't choose a good song. He has to be careful or he may go, no matter how talented he is.
I think it should be Stefano tonite, but his dancing and hip gyrating may win him another week. Haley would be next on my list. I just don't know if she is consistent enough. We'll see!!!

I agree, last night was pretty boring. I actually liked Haley last night though. I think I need to look up this Adele chick (the song Haley sang was hers).
Casey is my favorite. I am not a big James fan. Plus, I don't see him as making it as an Idol. Not that Casey would either. Like I have said before, I think Scotty has the most potential to make it. Country fans are much more accepting than rockers or Jazz fans.
And Peg, are you feeling ok?
I thought James was awesome last night. Again..also like Scotty but there is no one close to James for me. Lauren did well but I am tiring of Jacob's style and never did like Haley. Casey was cool but not an idol.
I like the duets but couldn't figure out if that was entertainment or were they being judged on the duets too?
Anybody made Chex yet for elimination night?
Wow, loved James second song. Didn't really know the first one, but he sounded good. I'm afraid that Jacob has just gone from being an amazing gospel voice to choosing songs that just don't get through to me. I think he has really lost his way, whereas Haley has found it. House of the Rising Sun was just beautiful, and because I actually didn't know any of the "Now" songs, it didn't matter to me that Haley sang a song I didn't know the first time. I actually think she is the most improved. Loved Scotty's "She's Gone." Lauren just had a slammin' night overall. I think she is James' competition for the win, but James is going to end up the winner (I hope.) Top three...James, Lauren, and Scotty. Go James!
BTW..Heath, I'm feeling alright. It actually snowed all day two days ago, so it is still cold. Michael is working at another rehab called Shadow Mountain, and so far, so good. They really seem to like him there and he is fitting right in. Not quite full time yet but hoping that will change soon. I sent you a BD card to your gmail address, but you never picked it up, so I'm thinking you don't use that one anymore??

Thank heavens for DVR because I watched James's second song three times last night. I know..I'm a wierdo!I am exactly where you are on this Peggy..time for Jacob to pack his suitcase but Lauren will be giving James a run for the top. Scotty is so cute and everytime he goes low it makes me smile since it doesn't go with his looks! Haley has improved and I hope for james sake she did not pick up Pias votes. I think they are very tricky about who they lead you to believe is in the top spot week to week. I don't think Adam lost just in the last week. Chris had to be the front runner all along. And the same with David Cook over Archuletta. That did not happen just in the last week!
Peggy, glad to hear the news about Michael. Hopefully the new place will not have the issues that the last place seemed to have over the last year or so.
Sorry..I could NOT deal with snow in May and ask Heather about how she feels about this past winter. If I don't see snow for ten years that would be fine with me.
Mom and I will have to find a spot to watch Idol while we are in WDW next week. It's too early to go back to the hotel!
I think that James nailed it last night. Really not a big fan before but he had me right in the palm of his hand .Kenny actually replay it
