It was going to take a big night for Crystal for me to change my mind...and she brought it! She blew Lee out of the box tonight. Poor guy was a bundle of nerves, plus he got screwed on the song choices. (REM and U2--for his voice???)
I still think he will make it just fine, as will Crystal, but Crystal is my choice after tonight. Only voted once.

Either way they are both winners. I liked Lee's 'Boxer' and Crystal's last song. I think that anyone who had a clear choice stuck with that choice. So that the winner will be whoever has been leading for the last few weeks and we will never really know who that is/was.
I watched the performances on the flat screen with the good sound system this morning. Lee was actually great, and he is just a doll. But I think Crystal really was a step above. I actually had a clear choice, I thought; but I changed it. I do think that Lee may get the Casey votes, plus the VFTW votes, plus his consistent votes throughout the season. He could still win (look at what happened to Adam last year).
Still think Lee got screwed on the song choices. Plus his best performance was last week, so he couldn't really do it again for the Finale.
Like you said, Deb, either way they are both really good, and good together! Anyone else notice that Crystal's alleged "boyfriend" was not there last night? Just Dad. We'll read it in the Star!!!

VFTW-Vote for the Worst. The site made sense four years ago when the likes of Sanjaya were in the running. But Lee could never be 'the worst' choice. Crystal will probably be better off without the extra distraction of having to go to DisneyWorld. She'll just get a contract and live richly ever after.
Only 2% difference between the votes. Could have gone either way. Actually, Lee was the VFTW candidate. Never know.
Either one of them deserved it, just think Crystal had a better Finale night.
Lee was adorable when he won. And the Lee and Crystal montage? Bet they do tour together. No Tony (Crystal's "boyfriend") on the most important night of her life???? Hmmm.

I just read that Crystal and Tony broke up the night of her final performance. Hmmmmmm??????
So..are we watching x-factor next year??? I am already going through withdrawl. No IDOL, No DWTS, No Grey's and No Good Wife. And I don't like So You Think You Can Dance.
And no House!!! But there is always Breaking Bad...
I was just watching Larry King interview the Idols and he asked Crystal about breaking up with her boyfriend this week! Also learned that he is the father of her son. She confirmed it all and said it was a mutual decision. How about a mutual realization about a mutual attraction???
We shall see! You know who saw it coming first, ahem, ahem. ;)

I saw on the internet that they broke up because he didn't think that he could take living that life style.I thought the baby was from an earlier relationship.
After they announced that Lee was the AL, he called out "I love you, Crystal"

Michael thinks he'd be crazy because now that he is the AI, he's 24 and he can have a girl in every city in the US...Ha-ha. Well, coming from one musician to the next...
I think they sound great together and absolutely loved them with the great Joe Cocker.
