I"VE TAKEN LEAVE OF MY SENSES!!!!!
You'll never guess what I just made arrangements to do! Go to a Dude Ranch. Friends of ours have been going to Ridin'Hy Ranch in the Adirondacks yearly, for 40 years (we have old friends) and they have been telling us about it for the last couple years.A couple of nights ago, a group of us were talking at dinner and one thing led to another(and a couple glasses of wine later) we decided to check it out as a possible place to take the grandchildren sometime. The picture of the Adirondack chairs on the lakefront caught my eye! Eight of us are going up for three days in mid June. Time will tell if I end up on a horse. I can guarantee that most of my friends will be in those Adirondack chairs keeping the wine cold! I hope the kids will think it is a cool place to go. Or is it all downhill after DisneyWorld?

Ever since Dirty Dancing I have wanted to go to a place like that. I am sure it will be fun! Is it a girls weekend or a couples thing?
It's four couples which includes the couple which has gone there at least once a year since their own kids were small. It operates year round and has skiiing and snow activities available in the winter. Check out their Website. It isa pretty good site.It is www.ridinhy.com . I'd love to do this as a fsmily trip sometime. And I definitely am aiming at taking the three boys next summer. I don't think Kira will be old enough for awhile. BTW-No TV's in the rooms, just the lodge. Quaint huh?
OK Deb. No asking for the oldest horse!
Horse riding is so fun. I got to do some here and there while Michael was working at the Ranch. Now that he is more of an administrator, he is in town more. He's in charge of running the "sober living" house now and is really liking it. The students all have to take college courses, at UNM or online. It's a new challenge, but he's a great organizer.
Deb, do you have to do barn chores, too? Better bring a lot of wine!
