Thank you, Senator McCain, for choosing Sarah Palin as your running mate. I know they say not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but....

It started with a show about San Francisco, and has turned into an email phenomenon......

Yeah, what does he think? That Sarah Palin will be mistaken for a soccer Mom. After the comments about her experience with the PTA maybe she thought she was running for the second spot on that ticket! She is used to the second spot having been runner up for Miss Alaska. The reasons for him choosing her are so transparent. He obviously thinks that the women in this country are dumb! I do feel sorry for the daughter though. Who needs the world to watch her every footstep or mistep ala Brittany. The media is so cruel.
Being Delawareans, we are excited about Biden running with Obama. You really do see Biden "out and about" and he is a regular Joe.
The convention was one of the best in years! Michelle O'bama rocked!
It is now post Republican Convention. The third night, in particular, left Michael and me feeling sick to our stomachs. The outright lying, the making fun of community organizing, the ridicule of people like us for our beliefs. Sarah Palin is a self-righteous, horrible woman. I cannot believe that's what it took to energize the conservative base. Palin had a lot of gall to ridicule Obama after he told the media to lay off her daughter and that he would fire anyone in his campaign that gave in to negative exposure of the girl and her situation. Doesn't look to me like she and her "fiance" had much choice in the matter. And after her insulting the entire media the other night, I don't think that the Obama camp will have to go very negative as the media will do it for them. She was not vetted and has a bunch of corruption up her sleeves. Like the fact that she did not build the bridge to nowhere, but she didn't return the money either!
New Mexico registered a record number of Democrats this season, but they did not get out to vote in the primaries. Could it be because voters had to wait in line for 2 hours in sub-zero wind chills? (Only 3 people plus the volunteers could fit inside the little room at the Sheriff's Office!) Hopefully the Dems in NM will get their act together for the General Election.
Biden was a great choice. I've always liked him. And Michelle, well, she just rocks. Hillary did what she was supposed to do, and I think Dems went away from the convention unified.

I totally underestimated the stupidity of the general population. You know...like the ones that say that they are "just not ready to vote for a black man for President." (I saw an interview with a Democratic county chair from Ohio that was actually hearing that answer from people he was calling on for votes in Ohio.)

Mom - well, after a couple of weeks, it seems like most women in this country are DUMB. Yikkes, I can't believe how people are responding to this bitch. I guess it's the same people that voted for W because he was "just like them."
Peg - the whole black thing is unreal. I guess we haven't come that far. It is really sad to think people feel that way.
After her interview with ABC yesterday, I am hoping that more people can see through Sarah Palin and see her for what she really is. Her arrogance and utter lack of thoughtfulness, her conservative extremism and obvious inexperience...It's all right there in that interview.
I really have to hope that the whole Palin phenomenon will blow over, and that the candidates will get back to the issues in these last few precious weeks. McCain's answers in the service forum last night were frightening. Thank goodness he bombed with the crowd.
Obama is going to take this thing. I really believe that he is. Can't lose faith now, just because they booted up one of their robotrons and let her loose on the country.

I think that this is just a post convention blip and that soon the women of America will realize that Hillary did not put (how many?) all those cracks in the ceiling for Sarah Palin to break through.
Granted, there are women who do not agree with many of Hillary's/the Dem's positions and that is fine as long as they weren't voting for her just because she is a woman. That defeats the idea here! There will always be women who vote the way their husbands do/tell them. We can only hope that those numbers decrease as time goes on.
Let's hope that Palin give's lots of interviews and her arrogant and backward views become more apparent. And she's not running for president...he is. Scary.....
