Wow... does that look like fun! I need to put that on my bucket list!
What was the water temp? Were the other three riders friends, guides or just other customers? How was the visit?

You would never get me there. I get weak in the knees just walking on the bridge over Peter's Brook.
It looks like you were enjoying it!
That's Great.

The water wasn't that cold since it's late in the season--enough to cause rapid breathing though when we jumped in! The last part of the trip was pretty calm, so we just jumped in and floated down about a mile of river on our backs. It was so relaxing. The guy in the back is the guide. The two up front were visitors from Brooklyn! They'd never seen a river like the Rio Grande, but they were game for anything. We (Michael, Danica, and I) went down twice. Michael and I were in the front on the first trip, so we handed over the front seats for the second.

The visit was fine. The usual conversation about the weather and what everyone had to eat that day (ha-ha). We always seem to talk about the same things. I don't know if Marcia and Harvey forget that they've told those stories before, or if they...oh, they must just forget. Thank goodness it's not that way with our family. Keep doing those memory exercises, Mom!

We didn't have anyone over to the house because of the road. That way, I didn't have to stress on cleaning top to bottom either. Our "yard" is so out of hand. At least they are pretty weeds :)

That's funny that you mentioned Peter's Brook, Mom. I was telling Michael the other day about catching crayfish by that little dam and running by the mean guy's house up on Devil's Pass (that trail up top).

P.S. My Le Creuset is the bomb!
