Some of you may know how much I hate my current phone, but for the uninitiated, there is not much in my existence that I despise more than my battery hindered Motorola Razr. I have been patiently awaiting the release of the new iphone since about November when I finally decided that while I fought the urge every single day to toss my phone out the window, I would wait until the new version of the iphone came out. Now this is a huge step for me b/c when I finally decide to buy something I don't F&*k around, I just go and buy it.
So the iPhone finally goes on sale on Friday..... I was all set to sneak out from working from home at about 3 yesterday to go wait in line..... Universe smacks me... one of the websites that I support gets hacked, and I spend 8 hours working with my team to ensure that none of the other sites on the server were compromised.
Try number 2 - I go to the mall yesterday and the line isn't half bad, but I couldn't wait at the time, so I decided to come back after dinner. I rush through dinner and leave Jess to read to Cole and put him to sleep. I burst through the door at the mall... the line is about 10 people... SWWEEEETTT... only 10 people b/c that was all the phones they had left. &^#(##)*&%.....
I check the apple website once I get home... Short Hills store shows that they will have phones on Sunday. Store opens at noon...
Try number 3.... I get to the mall at 11:20... OH CRAP a guy comes out of the mall with a iPhone bag.... I walk in... NO LINE!!!!! WOOO HOOOO.... no line.... b/c THEY HAVE NO PHONES AND OPENED AT 9AM?!?!?!?!
Whose cornflakes did I piss in? I just want a cool phone that will do way more than I would every need....
(PS - after getting thwarted on try number 2 I went to an AT&T store and ordered one... it will be delivered in 7-10 days - I just have to wait to be cool.... (and I can hear Heather saying - "phone won't help... keeping waiting bro....."

Should have told me, Will and I were at Borders on Friday which is right next to an AT&T store. Line was only about 10 deep at 9:50am. Could have had it fedex'd.
Anyway, those Stan Smith's you got after I did in HS didn't make you cool either. Love ya anyway. You got all the brains, I atleast got the coolness (look what good that has done me!).
BTW - I am the dork of NY right now. Got the worst haircut today. So bad I told my bitchy (male) Hair dresser I hated it and the only thing that would help it would be time. I got it for free and didn't tip the guy a cent. He pissed me off.
For those of you who have not seen Heather's hair....it looks great. When you are skinny and pretty you can pretty much wear anything on your head and you will look great. Frankly, I like the short do, it reminds of when we got married. Heather needs to relax on this one, although it did not help that Nate said to Heather that she "looked like Me-Me"(Mom, you look amazing and I view this as a complement. ..your daughter unfortunately does not see it this way - be quiet Heather, I know I am sucking up). Poor Nate had no idea what hit him. Lets just say that Nate received his first lesson on how to speak to women about haircuts, clothes and the fat question all in one moment.
Jason, be careful when you get that phone. It is sure to have something wrong with it. I would just wait to the next version at this point.
Heather...were you sleeping while he was cutting? If it is that short what was going on while he was clipping? Oops..we are turning Jason's disasterous attempt at purchasing a phone into a dialog about hair. Hmmm, we can so turn it around, huh?
Now Nate....you just leave that child be. He has no idea that telling his mom that she reminds him of his Me-Me is an insult! Personally the sucking up worked, thank you Pete. Possibly you'll condescend to share your inheritence from me with my sassy daughter!
I know what Jason means by wanting to throw the razor out of the car window(or any window for that matter). You can take that sucker off of the charger after 12 hours and make a phone call with the Blue-Tooth ear piece and halfway through the call the thing is beeping low battery! Arghh!!! I don't know if I can justify getting the phone since I have the iTouch. I at least will wait for version 2.
