FAMILY IDOL FEVER 2008
Otherwise known as "Get the Chex started". Finally Hollywood week gave us an inkling as to who made the grade. Cryboy Josiah was too unstable for sure. Every week would have been" a pity vote". Might have had the drama of Sanjia. Hey..it rhymes. Josiah/Sanjia. I like the guy who did Bohemian Rhapsody. In the last year, the Blogs that inspired the most comment were sports, Idol and Heather's boobs. So let's get this Blog fired up again. Tuesday starts the competition! Go get your margarine...Chex are calling!!!

I liked the Bohemian Rhapsody guy, too. Also, the rocker girl with the Bride of Frankenstein hair. Of course, we all know that cage-fighter girl will be the hottie they keep on for a while. The little Asian girl with the big voice and the black girl named Asia (is that right?) were good as well. Too bad the geek politician guy didn't make it. I thought he was funny.
We've had so much snow! Now it's getting warmer in the daytime, so the arroyos are running on either side of the house (we are up on a point). We'll have riverside property for a while until it either gets cold again, or the ground can start to absorb some of the melt off.
Deb, you'd better bring some rubber boots!

Hey, where is everybody??

Hey Guys! I think my favorite so far is the dreadlock guy. He sings well and is kind of goofy. He just got bombed by the judges though. Like the little asian girl too. I can't stand the BOF Rocker girl - she is my least favorite of the bunch.
I haven't started chex yet - I think I will wait until final 12.
Pete leaves for Utah on Thursday - uggg, it will be a long 6 days. I am not looking forward to it.
Peg - have you started your classes yet? How is that going?
How could I forget about David Archuleta. He is usually not the kind of singer I like, but the kid is AMAZING!!!!
Ohmigod...David Archuleta. I called it two weeks ago! Jason said he didn't get what the judges were so impressed with. Now I hope he does. I got chills. I have a bit of a hard time with the rockers because it is not my favorite genre. It makes it hard for me to decide if they are any good. Or maybe it is my tin ear. Anyway my $$ and Chex are on David. I do like Michael Banks too. But he should not take votes from David. Hope the girls have a stand out performance tonight!
Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that David kid. I like how humble he is, too.
Started my transcription course last week and it is tons of work but really interesting. It's kind of like a combination of being a translator and a researcher and a transcriptionist all at once. It's certainly not just typing! Hope it all works out. It should take me about a year to do the course because I chose a really good one and not just an $80 four-month type deal. The people that do those courses have a hard time getting hired and passing their testing. Anyway, it's all good so far, though I did have to get a ...aaah!...PC with Windows on it because the program and industry aren't really Mac friendly :( Getting a new Intel Mac and just running Windows on it seemed a waste, and I didn't want to corrupt our Macs. I'm such a DORK!
Anyway, Michael is hoping the creepy gay guy that did Elvis last week gets voted off this week. I'm not much into that one, either.

You mean 'ishman'? A bit odd but certainly not in the Sanjaya category. I'm not vacillating on David. There are several girls I like but only to get to the final 12. If David doesn't blow this out of the water I'll be shocked! Everyone I know who watches says David is the man(kid). And humble too. What a package.
I agree. Actually, when I posted yesterday, we had not yet watched the guys from Tuesday night because we watched the debate instead and Tivo'd Idol. (Punishment...Two lashes?) We watched the guys and girls last night and I really like that Archuleta kid. I think he's the one to beat. I still like the little Asian girl, too. Does her name rhyme with lullaby? Is it Mullabi? Anyway, I think that the guy with the skunk stripe goes tonite, and the girl who did "Hopelessly Devoted to You" was pretty bad. Sorry Heath...I think dreadlock guy might go soon, as well.
David Archuleta makes me think of a really young Pete. I don't know, maybe it's the hair!

By the way, Peg...don't erase next week's Idol until I get there! I will have missed Wednesday's competition! And you get to make the Chex for Thursday's elimination. Smile :)Nobody came close to David last night. Rocker girl with the Cruella DeVille hair is a one shot wonder. If she can't sing Janice, she can't produce. I still like the little Asian girl too. We need to learn her name.
Don't worry--I'll make sure the recording is protected! I was sad to see the gal with the peace earring go. I really liked her Earth, Wind and Fire song last week. Of course, Spinning Wheel has been in my head for a week now--can't get rid of it.
Yeah, BOF hair girl is pretty one-dimensional. At least they got rid of the other skunky guy :)
Heath-hope you are doing okay without Pete there. One thing is for sure--he's got lot's of snow for his trip. So, you get to go to the Bahamas when?

Miami!!!!!! Early April! I can't wait!
So far, so sucky without Pete. Both Will and Theo were up half the night. I am a zombie today. It is so typical for me to have this kind of luck.
I liked the E, W & F girl too - but I think the girls kind of suck compared to the guys this year.
OOPs. Michael pointed out that it was Blood, Sweat, and Tears that did "Spinning Wheel". I could have sworn Randy Jackson said Earth, Wind, and Fire. Oh well, Michael is the rock-n-roll trivia guy.
Michael's summary of American Idol this year so far is "Tears and Queers"! He ruins every touching moment by saying, "Aw, dry up, will ya?" LOL
