October, here we come !!! We've had Mr. October and still have Mr. November, and we're coming to play.
Who'd to think that the Yank's could come from 14 1/2 games back to make the playoffs. And that's even with all the rookies we've brought up. At least we didn't blow a 7 game lead with 17 to play. Oh, that was 'cross town in Queens.
Hey Pete. need 3 to make a 4some? Hear Pedro and some of his buddies have some free time until February. Maybe next time.

The nice thing about living in New England is that you can legitamately root for the Red Sox and have company. Consider me an official member of RED SOX Nation into November. I have just ordered my Pedroia jersey:)
As far as my Metsies, they have just elevated losing to a new level. Kinda like the '04 yankees, you know setting new losing records in sports history. However, this is worst than any loss I have ever endured as a fan or player in any sport. I have watched 100 loss seasons and watched my team lose in the 9th inning of 3 seperate NLCS('88, '99, and '06) not to mention watching the stupid subway series. I can handle any of that compared to losing due to hubris and just plain shoddy play down the stretch. At the end of the day, I will always root for the orange and blue. I have always loved the underdog and the blue collar nature of the team in Queens. This will not change and it will ultimately make victory much sweeter in the end.
Therefore, congrats yankee fans. You have done it again..but then again you also set a new record for the highest payroll. You are SUPPOSED to win the world series when you spend over 200 million dollars. You exemplify corporate baseball...have fun.

Sure wish NM had a baseball team. Most definitely I wish that the "home" football teams around here were not the Broncos and the Cowboys! There is only one team I hate worse than the two noted, and that is the freakin' Patriots.
