Hi All,
This happened the other morning at sunrise. I think it looks like an ice cream sundae with a cherry on top :) Shows where my mind is.
Michael and I are both working a lot, but Michael is finally working days and has weekends off, so we get to see each other more. My job is totally stressful and hellish at times...always on a deadline. I hate leaving the doggies and kitty all day, but they seem to be adjusting.
My card business is just starting up. Michael's dad works at a little gallery called "Hand Made" in the LA area. He is going to carry them and see how they sell. I'm also making up "intro" packages for the B&Bs in Taos, hoping that they might carry them too. The images are all "totally Taos", but not touristy like most cards are. We'll see.
I'm also starting to tutor Photoshop on an individual basis. Biggest problem I'm running into in Taos is that everyone is running totally outdated versions of Photoshop and most are unwilling to upgrade. If they would just understand how much time is saved with the newer versions...sigh. Oh well...living in Taos-time is lovely when you don't need to get anything done pronto.
Michael's mom and stepdad (Marcia and Harvey) are visiting at the end of next week. Their family is much more "formal" than ours, so "fun" is not the word that comes to mind. Take a deep breath, Peg, and break out the napkin rings!
I'm off for now. Tell me about the party!

Peg,
Yum! I would love a taste of that sundae. This photos are great, but at times they just cause me to miss the beauty of New Mexico. Aka...Land of Enchantment. I always felt that was my favorite state slogan. Although, Maine's ..."the way life should be" is pretty damn good too. Anyway, is there still snow on those mountains? Or am I just envisioning globs of vanilla ice cream? Great to hear that you and Michael are doing so well.

Another great picture.Glad to here about the card business. Sounds like you and Michael are busy. But glad to hear that you have some time together.
I would like to buy some cards to show and support your business. Please send me some.
The party was great.Jenni's foot is coming along well. She hoped to have the cast off and a different one on on Mon.
The kids had a great time in the jacuzzi.
Ken and I are going to see Virginia tomorrow and then to Deb and Don's for the weekend.
Love you,
M
No making me hungry!!! I am just recuperating from the CHEX extravaganza.
It was the weirdest thing...Wednesday night I signed onto the blog and saw this post but didn't really have time to make a comment. Yesterday morning I signed on at work and it wasn't there. It did not show on my work computer until around noon time. Some computer expert in our midst might be able to 'splaine' it to me.
I'd like to place an order too. I'll wait until you're making the big bucks to ask for a family discount!
Looking forward to picking crabs with Mom and Kenny this weekend. Yum...We're going to St Michael's which is a quaint little seafairing town in MD. We, however, saw a bit in the entertainment section of the newspaper saying that Michael Jackson had visited recently and was looking for property in St Michael's. Won't be taking my grandsons there!!!:). Anyway, planning a boat tour of the island, some browsing in the shops and CRABS!!!
Glad to hear you found employment so quickly and that Michael likes his new position. I have always thought that individual tutoring on the computer, whether it is basic or specialized would be lucrative. Too many people can only e-mail and it is a costly piece of equipment for a limited application. I know someone who only uses it for e-mail and solitare. And they only read their e-mail about every three days.( I know too many old people!)
Hi, All-
Pete, yes, there was snow on the mountains until last week or so. We got a snow storm in late June this year. Now, tons of thunder and lightning, hail...the works. Lightning started a wildfire about twenty miles from here that is still smouldering and lights out all over the state. I love those storms, but one last week actually scared me. The lightning was striking so close and we have these big satellite transformers up on fence poles for the internet and TV...plus the doggies' radio fence. I was running around turning everything off, all the while praying I wouldn't get struck (you have to go outside to turn off the fence). The lightning was running in ribbons across the sky. It was fantastic.
I'll put together some cards for all y'all ;)
Hope the crab picking is fun, though I think they should change that term! Brings other things to mind. Ick.
We are watching the LiveEarth concerts on TV and have made the pledge, though we already do most of the things they ask you to pledge to.
Are any of you at "Giants" Stadium today for the festivities?
