Hey Everyone - Just wanted to say hi and see how everyone is doing. Nothing new here. I have just been busy doing Mom stuff. We are grateful that the weather has been nice and not too hot. The kids are good - Will is getting a bunch of teeth and is crawling and standing. Nate started "camp" today. Pete is busy at work. I am still nursing Will, but he has started to take a bottle. So that gives me a little more freedom. I got to go on a trip to a farm with Nate's class last week. The picture attached is Nate giving a concert to his class before the trip.
So how is everyone doing?? Any new shows since idol is over? We like Top Chef.

We'll I'm glad I don't have to see that gagging guy with the surgical mask on first thing on the blog! And Nate is a much better vision to this grandma. What was he singing? He'll have to bring his instruments to G&K's next weekend so we can have a concert.
I'm reading on the porch at night instead of watching TV this summer. I just finished Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Piccoult (whew!) and now I'm reading A Thousand Splendid Suns by the same author who wrote Kite Runner. It's really good so far. I have a pile of summer reading and not nearly enough time to devote to it! Any body else have any suggestions or recommendations? I'm in a book club so sometimes I end up reading something I might not normally have read. Snow Flower and the Secret Fan was one of those picks. It was about a young girl growing up in turn of the century China. I highly recommend it.
Well, I don't read much besides computer tech books and manuals. Don't think you'd be interested in those. :)
Hey, is Nate a Southpaw? Does that thing really play, or does he make sounds with his mouth?
I'm super busy now, too. I'm working as a graphic designer at a local print shop. So far so good. I also started my own photo card business; the first shipment goes out to California on Monday.
Michael got promoted to "Phase Two" at the Ranch. The guys in this phase are not as difficult to deal with (like they don't steal the olive oil to masterbate in the bathroom :0) because they are more serious and have jobs, internships, school etc. He's in charge of the internship program, and is liking it very much. Definitely more rewarding.
So...we are busy bees. All is well.

Peg- That guitar at school he just uses as a prop. His guitar at home he actually stums, and makes noises with his mouth as well. We haven't figured out with hand he favors yet, he uses both. Congrats to both of you on the jobs. Peg- how do you like your job?? It may not be creative as you would like but the experience you get there will be very great. There is nothing worse than a designer that knows nothing about printing. Tell me about the cards.
I just finished Possible Side Effects by Augusten Burroughs - He is the guy that Wrote "Running with Scissors". Surprise, Surprise - he is a gay, alcoholic with OCD. It was good, but just short stories.
Mom- you know he won't perform on command, so don't even try it.
We went to the Zoo today. It was a lovely day, mid 70's and the kids were great. Couldn't ask for more.

I saw Running with Scissors in the movies. Considering the great cast it was awful(at least in my opinion). The woman that picked the movie to see that night is also in my book club and said that she had considered it for her book pick. If we had had to read it I might have had to kill her! I must live a narrow, sheltered life.
How will Nate ever go on tour if he won't perform on command?

Yeah he has turned out to be quite the little phish fan. This is just one out of many in Nate's cannon of songs. The other day in school, they were singing ABC's and Nate corrected the teacher and told her "No, its AC/DC Bag.." Another phish song. Its getting weirder everyday.
