I have made to call!!!!!!

I am going to say it now. I AM responsible for that dick Shilling not getting his no-hitter. I turned it on with two out in the ninth, just so he would not get it. When Stewart got a hit a second later I called my mother to state." I am going to say it now. We are going to catch those bean eating butt frackers. So I have made to call. Just wait and see. So Pete don't be blowing saves in the 9th(choke) this upcomming week. A couple more healthy starters and Mike Sweeney at first just might put us back in the Yankee state of mind. So as the all-star break approaches I have made the call. I was ready to give up and sell off our high priced guys to anyone, but I have changed my mind. Lets Go YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And by the way. Bobby Abreu is still a candy ass. Just thought you would like to know.

Made "to call" or "the call"? I guess I am making a call too... To the Somerville public school system to see if your mother can get some of her taxes back. It's a sad state of affairs when you have no problem spelling "frackers" but use the phrase "I have made to call" 2 times in one post.

BTW, who actually gives a crap... baseball season is half over which means one thing... Football season is right around the corner..

Dave...keep believing. But you know that one of these old guys...whether it be Mussina, Pettitte or Clemens will go down with injury(probably back pain). In addition, the Sox have the deepest rotation and probably the strongest bullpen in baseball at this point. They will not go on prolonged losing streaks because the Sox are designed to pitch and catch the ball well..something the yankees can't seem to do. Its still 10.5 games in the middle of June. Your best hope is for the wild card, and those teams in the AL central(Tigers/Indians) are playing great and you know Minnesota will make a run. You guys have managed to pitch well against the worst hitting team in baseball. But, you have every right to feel good right now. They are beginning to hit as you knew they would. But your bullpen sucks..plain and simple. With Torre's micro-management they will continue to be burned out. If there is one thing Cashman needs to do, its get real arms in that pen. As far as blown saves(I was at that game against philly...frackin sucked)...I believe its crusty old Mo that has blown at least 3 saves up to this point. And in the same line of thinking as Jason, its not very long before you will be forced to think about football season just to serve as a mere distraction from your dying Yankees. BTW, how do you root for this yankee team. I mean is there anybody more hated than A-Rod in baseball. Not to mention, Abreu and Clemens. Its like rooting for corporate america...Lets Go Walmart...Lets Go Walmart....Lets Go Walmart!!!

Forgot one thing about closers. Mariano River ERA is 4.13
Billy Wagner ERA is 1.65

Ouch.

Go Jetties! Go Raiders!

Raiders did pretty well with the draft. Didn't see much of the Jets' picks. Any insight?

As for the Jets draft, they went with a less is more plan. We traded away several picks to move up twice and got the best cover corner in the draft and the best 3-4 inside line backer. With the other 2 picks we had we picked a tackle and a WR that dropped based on a bad 40 time. While we did great, (i think) the whole thing was ruined when you find out that the Pats traded some bubble gum cards for Fracking Randy Moss.... Just when you think we make some progress on them....

Pete - and all other fairy teal and orange fans -

How is Pedro Martinez ? - that piece of .... Moose and Pettitte have had their injury for the year and Clemens took care of his before his first start, so we are all on the same level. And those bean eating MF'rs never continue their level of play. They are the ones that end up all hurt and crying as they fade fast. I seem to remember vividly 1978. You ahould be used to 'micromanagement." Jow Torre has been forced to with some of the personnel which Cashman has presented us with - FIRE SALE - Carl Pavano for $1. Better yet, Pavano plus $1 to anyone who wants him. Joe Torre has done a damn good job thru injurys all at once - hitting slumps all at once - and still only be about 4 games out of the wild card and 10 1/2 games from HOME.

Finally, a comment for thought - there are certain aspects of life that digitalization doesn't belong - like in sports standings. Look at any sports page and it is 10 1/2 games we have to make up - NOT '10 point 5' games.

Remember, we have Mr. October AND Mr. November. Who do you have ?

YANKEES WIN ... THAAAAAA YANKEES WIN !!!

Teal and orange...wtf...have you seen a color palette.

In case you haven't noticed, we are not missing Pedro. We have the second lowest team pitching era in baseball right behind San Diego and in front of the Red Sox. We actually have good pitching coaches that know how to prepare guys to give you a quality start every time out. In 1978, you had a very good team that was stacked with pitching. In addition, that team was 5 games below 500 at its low point and was chasing a team that was playing way beyond its potential. This is a much different scenario. This Red Sox team is way better than in years past. Even better than the team that embarrassed the spankees in '04. Remember, the greatest choke in sports history! Ya know 3 games up with the lead in boston and Mo gives it up to his Papi in the tenth inning of game 4 of the ALCS and the rest is reversal of the curse...tag your it!

My mistake on the '78 skanks. At this same point in the season, they were 10 games above 500. The comparison is between a great team in '78 and a mediocre team in '07 that has some deep flaws in its style of play. But that does not mean you won't make the wild card. But there is no way you will catch the Sox.

Hey I know how to spell, well at least the word "The". When I miss spell th word "The" the spell check doesn't understand. I often get "No suggestions" from my spell check. That's how bad it gets.

heathandpete said...

I take it all back. Every negative word about the YANKEES. Yes, this is a lame attempt to recapture the positive karma my Mets have experienced up until this past week. Suddenly, we look like the yankees of may. Racked with injuries and a beleagured bullpen that is just giving up runs. We finally started hitting, but even thats not helping. Therefore, I take it all back. Good luck with your yankees. For the rest of the season I will only point out fact about your ballclub. As much as it pains me to say it, they are playing great baseball...against the lowly pirates and white sox. But, good baseball nonetheless. Frankly, I am not looking forward to the games at the stadium next weekend.

Dave & Cathy said...

No please. Keep talking.

Dave & Cathy said...

No really. Keep talking. Hey Pete. Let's get ready to RUMBLE!!!!!!! Perez, Glavin, and El Old as dirte' vs Clemens, Clippard, and Wang. And you pick on my pitching staff? Good luck with that. Your it!!!!

David, you are SICK!!! Me-Me should have put a nail in that ruler to keep your mouth closed!!!Don't eat anything I make you in the future. It will probably contain tuna. I know, I know you will be able to smell it. The reason that spell check doesn't pick up "to" instead of "the" is that to is a word. Sometimes there is just no substitution for proof reading. I once sent out a letter with please misspelled pleas. It took me awhile to even see that pleas was a word. Are we ever going to see pics of the house or are you really living in a tent on the beach?

8 1/2 BABY!!!!!! A-ROD is a monster.

heathandpete said...

I am going to lay low on all of this. Frankly, I expect us to get swept this weekend. If we take one game at the dump in the bronx i will be thrilled. Personally, I would love to see the Mets get in a brawl. It is just what this team needs to wake up from its slumber. Perhaps a Wagner fastball to A-Hole's ribs ought to get the job done. I know I am angry and in a terrible state of mind to discuss anything about baseball. Hats off to the yankees, they are unbelievable. Their ability to comeback every year pisses all yankee haters off more than you could ever imagine. Particularly when a jerkoff like a-rod is playing well...uggh! Lets Go Red Sox!

Dave & Cathy said...

And that sports fans is 7 1/2.

You made to call!!!

Dave & Cathy said...

FU Met Fan. lol Theres your gift. See you tomorrow.

heathandpete said...

Two words.....SHUT OUT!!!

Oh baby, to hear chant of LETS GO METS takeover yankme stadium was priceless. Maybe it woke the babe from his slumber. I even heard the Jose chant after he hit the facade of the upper deck after belting the old man's hanger. Your lucky Delgado sucks. He left 3 runners in scoring position. This could have been a blow out if we had a clean up hitter that can make contact.

I am satisfied. I wanted to end our losing streak, take at least one game and end the yankees win streak. Turns out this all coincided with Boston winning. Mission accomplished. See you tomorrow. BTW, 3-1 against the yankees this..still the kings of new york.

Peg,
A-hole's hr was in the 4th inning. This guys in on fire right now. Just ask Jeter..whoops...I don't think that was supposed to come out. Is there anybody more difficult to like than A-Rod, maybe Barry Bonds. Anyway, I was glad to see we at least fought to come back at the end of this one against Rivera. We have to go get them tonight. Like i said at the start of this series, I really thought we would get swept. The Yankees are hot and we are cold at the moment. Taking at least one is nice....Lets Go Mets!

Dave & Cathy said...

If only Danny's Giants had any balls. What a piece of shit that team is anyway. As for Mo in the ninth, a bunch of seeing eye hits and that gets you excited? Only a Mets fan. And why do you hate A-Rod? Is he in your division, league, ect? Let me know when Wright has 490 home runs and we will talk about him then. And as I said before, Wright will look great in Yankees pinstripes one day. That's the only way he's is going to get a ring. lol So here come the real boys of summer. Did you know it has rained in 70% of the Yankees games this year. We are getting healthy and warmed up now. And lets not talk about "OLD" pitchers. As much as I love El Douque, he is like 60 years old and on his way to the grave. Good luck with that. We might steal 7-8 bases tonight with that old fracker on the hump. Your "it".

Talk about getting old! I thought the TV screen said eleventh inning, not fourth. Oh well, I thought of you anyway, Pete :)

-P

P.S. I think we need a new baseball post. This one has retired its number.

heathandpete said...

Too bad you won't need to steal any bases because your team is too busy hitting home runs. Frankly, my team looked pathetic last night. I have always felt wang is your best pitcher and he looked brilliant last night. WTF with torre taking him out with one out to go in the 9th. Anyway, so glad this is over and we can get back to NL style baseball. The DH is so freakin lame. Zero strategy, any idiot can manage in the AL. Set your lineup and pitch away. Speaking of which, are you going to see the skanks play the Giants in SF this coming weekend?

Dave & Cathy said...

Well you were right Pete. The Mets are the kings of NY. The LATIN Kings! And Delucia is a candy ass. Gets hit on the elbow PAD and leaves the game. Pu@#$. Sorry I sneezed. And maybe someone should tell Reyes that you're not supposed to try stealing second on a 1-1 count when you are down 5 runs. Dumbass. Okay enough of that.
I am going to the game Saturday before I leave for NJ. Should be interesting. It is the same day as the Gay Pride Parade here. Hey Danny I hear Bonds is the Parade Grand Master. I am flying the redeye in so maybe there will be some players on the flight. So lets go Atlanta. Die REDSUCKS!!! Die. Let's go YANKEES!!!!!

MeMe Deb said...

Did Me-Me will the ruler to anyone?????

Dave, this has been fun. I need more people I can banter with about baseball. So, I will leave you with one final thought as our teams journey on through the season. We are still in first and you are 8 back in the loss column.
