This picture is actually one I took looking southeast. The shadow is our house. It was cloudy all day and the sun broke through under the clouds just as it set. It happens around this time of year.
Anyway, what do we think for tonight? I think Blake has had his day. Jordin is great, but she keeps screwing up and doesn't have Melinda's consistency. I still like Lakisha. She is the new "vote for the worst". That may keep her in the competiton. Michael is home tonight, so we'll get to watch together. I'm still working on finals, but will be done after this week.

That is a beautiful picture, Peg! I think my favorite thus far.
I think Lakisha will go tonight, however, after her performance of Stayin' Alive I said to Peter "I would buy that song on itunes." There has only been one other Idol song I bought - (Fantasia - Summertime). I really liked it - and was surprised she got canned by the judges. I think overall last night was pretty sucky. What was up with Barry Gibbs face? He looked so bizarre.
How is the new job going for Michael?

I'm subtituting PopCorn for the Chex tonight. I'm making Chex for Sunday and it would be too much.

We had such a good time when you were here. Michael and I still laugh when we remember those big rib steaks we got and put on the grill. We didn't have enough steak knives for four, so we bought some cheapies at Walmart. It was like the teeth were cut backwards. They couldn't have gotten through a filet mignon! They tore the steak when we tried to cut them, but you and Gary were so polite that nobody said anything. We ruined those beautiful steaks! We should have just picked them up and eaten them ;)
We threw those knives away that night and never said another word about it ('til now). Love you too, Mom.
We felt really badly for Lakisha. She is heads over tails better than creepy Blake. Did you see how he tried to steal the spotlight from her at every opportunity after she found out she was leaving and sang "Stayin Alive" again? He kept running out to her and acting like an idiot. The teeny-bopper vote is big. Michael thinks Jordin is going next week because the vote will be split between her and Melinda, with Blake tagging on for the ride. We'll see.
Michael and I think a) Barry Gibb got dentures or b) we keep forgetting how old he is and that his jaw may be collapsing or c) he is trimming his moustache back furthur now, so maybe we never realized he lisps and has an overbite! He does look bizarre, but he sang better than Pink. She looked so high, didn't she?

We all have something to remember like that.The first time I went to Gary and Karen's, she made a quiche with a graham cracker crust.Certainly different.

Jeez....you go away for awhile & come back, only to find out everyone is talking about you....and apparently I am still lax in the kitchen cuz I missed a ton of chex making/eating opportunities. I love this blog - it makes me laugh...now excuse me while I go post on Katie's incredibly unflattering pic of Gary & I (am I old enough to threaten her with the velcro will comments?)
