Absolutely beautiful. I miss that expansive NM sky. We may have to find a way out there soon. As for the beauty in CT, well, there is nothing like quite like the sight of blooming daffodils and young green leaves emerging from their winter dens. Not to mention the return of migrating songbirds that seems to wake you up with their early morning bird songs. Love the spring!!! P
There are moments when I would like to just sit and look at a sunset like that. But ultimately, I get itchy and feel the need to do or accomplish something. Maybe if I viewed it as acquiring some inner peace I wouldn't feel like I needed to be doing something else. I certainly plan on relaxing this next week on the balcony of our state room on the Celebrity Journey. I'll think of you all but probably won't Blog. I say probably because I am bearing in mind that on our last cruise I signed on once a day on the cruise at their internet cafe to keep tabs on Cole(who had impatiently entered the world as we sailed to the Caribbean.
Man, I have no problem with just sitting there on the portal and soaking it in...soul candy. Also, I get around feeling like I'm not doing anything by setting up the camcoder and my Mac to do time delay shots. The camera takes a shot every 3 seconds and when you run the stills as a video, the shots blend together and show all of the cloud movement in a very short period of time (a la "Koyanqatsi" and "Powaqqatsi"). It's really beautiful. My current video is full of that stuff. I have four days to finish editing and get it on a DVD. I'd better get back to work.
